Some other interesting tidbits....

When it rains it pours! No post for months, and now two in one day... The first two posts were invitations done in boxes for Katherine - a challenge to work with, but they came out great in the end. (Alt. caps lettering, and a warm brown ink..) The middle shot was from the class I taught just after Thanksgiving! A very DIY bride and her bridesmaids got together with some snacks, some wine, some ink and some parchment to learn the basics of how to address her own invitations. We had a great time! And finally, the menu I did for my cousin's in law's restaurant in the city (where, incidentally, the food is DIVINE if you should happen to be in the neighborhood...). It's been a very busy few months with more than a few unusual projects thrown into the mix! I still have a few weeks available in February and march if anyone is interested in booking. All the best to you all in the new year!!

  1. Your writing is so beautiful! Do you teach classes or anything? I would love to learn to do calligraphy (although I'm sure it wouldn't be close to as good as yours).

  2. I came across your site from One Charming Party. Your work is beautiful! I am so envious of your talent. You've inspired me to slow down when I write. I will definitely be contacting you if I ever need your skill. Much success to you this new year :)

  3. Thank you Lynn! Believe it or not, my 'everyday' handwriting is just terrible! It's all about having the right tools, and practice, practice, practice.

Ashley - I don't teach classes as a general rule - one of the bridesmaids contacted me wondering if I would teach just a small group. It turned out to be lots of fun (and hopefully the girls came away from the class with some helpful hints...) but I don't know that I would offer classes on a refular basis. There are so many books out there is you are interested in learning, though! Best of luck to you!
